Hi- curious about those signs all along 9w advertising work for $17hr. I heard those were to lure people into sex trafficking. I myself called and was immediately asked to meet at a specific location for an interview. Clearly I wouldn't go.

I think we need to protect our community. Isn't it illegal to post signs on trees and posts?

Let's start an investigation!

Hopefully this will reach out to the right person. I think a cruiser needs to sit at Camp Redwood especially on Saturdays to get these tri-axle dump trucks turning off of Kings Hill Rd onto Rock Cut Rd which are clearly over 8 ton limit for Kings Hill Rd. Last I heard these trucks were suppose to go down Kings Hill Rd to Plains Rd and use the traffic light at the intersection of Plains Rd and Rt.300 cause it was safer. Some one is going to get seriously hurt or killed cause these trucks are turning onto Rock Cut Rd. ... See MoreSee Less

Town of Newburgh PBA

Good afternoon Newburgh! We would like to take this time to remind our residents, business owners and all others who follow this page to remain vigilant against the alarming number of scams which exist solely to separate all of us from our hard earned money. Yes, cops can be targets of these scams as well. However, by staying informed and sharing information like this post from Annie Rabbitt we can help each other combat nefarious endeavors such as tax scams, family member in distress scams and utility bill scams. The Federal Trade Commission shares information regarding this topic also. Search for scams(tax, phone, email, etc) at www.ftc.gov
Thank you for sharing this info Annie Rabbit. Let's all stay informed and stay safe together.OC Clerk Annie Rabbitt is advising residents to beware of a tax warrant scam. Residents in other counties have reported receiving what looks like an official notice from New York State which claims they have unpaid taxes and may face property seizures as a result. The notices are not from New York State or the IRS. If you do have a tax warrant, please be sure you are dealing with the State, the IRS or a reputable law firm.
